Many years of studying moving creatures through a camera lens have enabled Rod to anticipate the animal’s next move to such an extent that it looks like mind reading, and to an extent it is.
But Rod Scott’s exceptional anticipation skills create totally stunning images
ABOUT US
Brisbane-based Rod Scott is a self-confessed animal lover from way back. Having worked as a traditional photographer for many years, he says, it was the timely arrival eleven years ago of a cheeky Kelpie x Cattle dog named Ringo into his life that inspired him to focus his work entirely on animal photography and portraiture. Rod Scott has spent many years observing the many nuances of animal behaviour; the way they move, the vast array of different facial expressions they make, the way the eyes and ears “speak” for the animal. Many years of capturing so many different kinds of animals through the lens of a camera has given Rod Scott the ability to anticipate each of his subject next moves in an almost uncanny way. In order for Rod Scott to so vividly capture the true spirit of your pet, he has to get to know and truly understand who your pet is and how he thinks. How he manages to do this has often baffled and amazed the many delighted pet owners who have commissioned a Rod Scott photo portrait of their pet.
